Another first - Paper peircing.

I am working through my list of 'things to try out'

and this time I chose 'Paper peicing'.

I really enjoyed doing it and am pleased with the result too :O)

Ooh baby baby GDT Totally Gorjuss # 41

Hello friends,
Here is a card I made as Guest Gorjussette for this weeks challenge #41 over at Totally Gorjuss the theme is Baby baby and I used Baby Millie for this project, such a cute image don't you think? Designed by Rachelle Anne Millen for Sugar Nellie.

Recipe

Size: 15 x 15cm.

Ink: Archival Ink - Coffee, Distressed with Ink pad - Vintage Photo, painted with Reinkers - Barn door, Brushed corduroy, Frayed burlap, Weathered wood, Tea dye, Tattered rose, Black soot,

Stamp: Baby Millie, Text stamp - Kreativ Hobby

Paper: My Minds Eye - Be Loved collection, Mat stack Brights, Vanilla bazzil, Watercolour paper 200g

Tools: Spellbinders - Classic squares small, sewing machine Eyelet tool from We Are Memory Keepers.

Vintage summer

I have really enjoyed myself making this card!
I am a bit pleased with the end result too :OD
I followed lilians sketch over at the sugarbowl for challenge #36 Lilian is such a tallented paper crafter and this sketch was fun to work with :O)

I am also entering this card for Everybody Art Challenge # 94 - Things with wings.
and Stempel magie - flowers and The crazy challenge - Distress it!

I have used distress ink reinkers to colour the sweet sugar Nellie stamp called 'bird house' by Elisabeth Bell. As you can see i have masked away the actual bird house though because i wanted the girl to be looking at the butterfy :O)

I have used design papers from 'classic Chic' called petticoat, and i just love them!

I wanted to keep the 3 bars from Lilians sketch light and 'dainty' just like the image and the papers so I spent ages searching my scrap room for something to use when my husband suggested using baking parchment! It being light and slightly see-through. I distressed it and it was perfect! so thanks hubby!

I have used distress inks pads to age all the edges and papers after 'fluffing' them up with my edge distresser and then sewing round them with a lovley fawn coloured thread i found in my sewing box. I have drawn on the MS. Butterfly before distressing it. I have used pearl glimmermist on the butterfly and flowers that i coloured with promarkers ( thanks for the tip Wenche, and also the loan of all your lovley reinkers!)

Phew I think thats all I did :OD

Oh and the little bronze dragonfly is from my hobby box.

One of my new stamps.

Good evening peeps, Hope everyone is well and happy, I am :O)
I Bought some new papers, and have finally got round to trying out this new stamp I ordered from Funky kits. Isn't it CUTE! (Bird house by Elisabeth Bell for Sugar Nellie) I love it anyway! Its a shame really that the stamp is so large and that not much of the Cosmo Cricket (earlybird brunch) paper shows, cos I love them too. The cards size is 15x15cm.



I have used my new MS butterfly punch and am really lovin that too :OD
The ribbon is from Panduro hobby shop. The half pearls are from Basic grey -Opaline.

The flowers are punched with the retro flowers punch from EK Success, (medium and small size) with T.H Vintage photo distress ink around the edges. I used the same round the edges of the stamp and also to paint the white paper the stamp was stamped on cos it was looking far too white.

The card is for 5 challenges, (Yup I did my research this time and it's a record for me! hehe)

First up Fun to stamp Who wants to see 'your latest bought stamp'

Ett Trykk's May challenge is a colour combo of Green, Blue/Torquise and Cream/white.

Colour create has a colour combo too of Kaki, Aqua, brown and cream.

One stop craft challenge wants to see 'summer breeze'

and last but not least Crafty Anns Challenge blog said 'anything goes' :O)

phew! now to just make sure i remember to enter them all correctly :OD

The Sugar Bowl: Challenge # 30

The challenge this time at The Sugar Bowl was a great sketch from Kathy and the must have extras of Shabbychic style. A style I hadn't tryed before but I was up for the challenge!

Here is my contribution:

After this first attempt at a shabby chic style....I want to try it again already! :O)

I have used bassil, Blue Awning blue floral embossed paper from K & company, scrap cardboard.

The die-cut (glans bilder) roses and border are real antiques from my husbands grandmothers collection!

The flowers are from Mulberry Gardenia - antique blue, I have distressed them with Lefranc & Bourgeois acrylic gold paint the same paint I used on the paper doilie behind the chipboard frame from Panduro, which I distressed with antique pink and white acrylic with a smudge of gold and then distressed around the edges with my distress ink - Vintage photo. The same I used to paint the motiv - Sugar nellie Gorjuss Foxy.

I have used light tan tyll, which is smudged in with white acrylic paint to help it stand out a bit.

After a rake around my scrap box and a nice hot cup of tea I found the little plastic butterfly and thought mmm 'butterflys are in what can i do with that?' After distressing it with inks I threaded it onto a dressmaking pin then added a pearl.

The paper edges are distressed with my making memories distresser ( and I think if I mention the word distress again I will be distressed!! He he lots of it going on here though so it is hard to avoid :O)

Last but not least the half pearls are from Prima and the Rhinestones are from Kaiser.

Phew! From all that discribing you would think that it took ages to make that card but it really didn't it just all flowed out of me and I really enjoyed myself making it.

Challenge #29 at The Sugar bowl.

This weeks challenge at The Sugar Bowl was this layout with some special 'must include' ingredients, 3 flowers, 2 brads, 1 button and as always a Sugar Nellie stamped motiv.

Looking at the card now i think i should rather have put the flowers in a bunch somewhere instead of spacing them out. What do you think?

My contribution

This sketch challenge from StampARTic was a great one from Marianne,
I used a lot of time working out how this card was going to look, it wasn't very complicated but my idea bank was berried at the back of my head this time :O)

I used;
Paper: My Minds Eye- be loved ( and i just love all of them! :O)), Bassil, watercolour paper.
Coloured with my trusty Faber-Castel pencils, Flowers from EK Success - some cut with MS. border lace cutter, Border lace from panduro and half pearls from Opaline.
Text self printed and ribbon from my 'stæsh' box :O).

Not much to show for a weeks work! hehe

This is what i have to show for this week, they are not for any challenge.

There is so many people i know giving birth at the moment! Its enough to almost make me want another one myself! Then i remember how much i have on my plate with my two wee boys already, and the thought of being able to hand to sweet smelling little bundles back to mum is a good one :OD, so more baby cards in the pipelines....

The first card was made with one of my new 'Blossom' stamp from Sugar Nellie that finally arrived in the post,

I was dying to test it out.

The papers are from: Friday girl, bassil, and oh i am sorry, i am so bad at noting what the papers are called! I can't remember what paper the pink circle is cut from :O(

Flowers from Storyteller ( love them!)

Dragonfly brad... from a box on my desk...erm...and the sentement paper i had lying around from years back!.

The strings are waxed cotton.

Here is my contribution to challenge #27 at The Sugar Bowl....

A kind friend of mine came to the rescue! So i managed to make a card for this challenge after all, Thankyou Wenche! I really enjoyed making it too, and am quite pleased with the end result. I didn't like the colour i had chosen to shade her dress, but i had started so i had to finish, and after alot of work I think it suits the card :O)

Fingers crossed i am lucky and win this time x x , and even if i am not, at least i enjoyed making it :O))
