Creative Inspirations Challenge # 48

I just had to make a card for this challenge at Creative Inspirations, where the rules where
'say it in sepia'
Its not a very 'busy' card, but i think it works ok. Although my husband (I always ask his opinion) mentioned that the actual card/background was very white, i didn't think it mattered because it joined together the watercolour paper used to stamp on and the paper i used to print out the message on. What say'eth you?!

I have used some scrap card, Bazzil and some ripped paper from a box of chocolates (consumed ages ago, and not only by me ;O). Flowers from Storyteller, and a bronze flower with a heart that I have attached with string - all from Minne Hjørne.
The girl is called 'Willow with hot chocolate' by Elisabeth Bell, and I have painted her with my distress ink - Vintage photo, then cut her out with nesties.
The Ribbon actually has a beautiful damask pattern on it if the light catches it the right way, and my scanner didn't catch it, dispite several attemps :O( Anyway it was a present from my friend Wenche, who picked it up whilst on her recent holiday away in ...erm... Spa - land :OD

  3. Wow, Nina, I'm so glad you found my blog and invited me here. This is beautiful. I do love vintage style cards, but never can get it right.
in my opinion, your husband is rigth about the background, maybe little mroe distresing on the edges, but pictures usualy don't show well, so is realy up to you and how it does look in real.
    Hugs Nana

  6. Now i want chocolate ;)So sweet, and the girl is colored so nicely!
Do you always use a scanner, i have tried, but i think it works better with my digital camera! It often takes a little of the dimensions, using the scanner!

  9. Wonderful job on the sepia challenge. I think it is fine, even if it has some light areas. When you think about it, sepia toned photos have light and dark areas too. I love the inclusion of the chocolate box paper - very creative and funky! Thanks for sharing this beauty with us at Creative Inspirations this week.
