I have really enjoyed myself this evening going through my scraps and bits and bobs box to make this card.
I have been wanting to try out a vintage style card like this for a while now. I finally got round to it, and must admit that I am quite pleased with the result. Modest i know, sorry :OD
The challenge this time at 'Whiff of joy' was 'pearls and swirls'.
I decided to use some of a wallpaper scrap i had from Farrow and Ball its called 'Sprig stripe' It is hand made and the scanning has not done it justice enough. The swirls come in on the Crate paper scrap which is actually called whirl. I have used an old garment sales tag, a scrap of music note paper and i'm not sure if you can see it but there is some tyll material over the note paper.
The 2 ribbons i have weaved together are from the shop Minne hjørne, flowers are from Storyteller, the brad from panduro and the round bronzed metal detail is from Kort og Godt.
Willow sitting on her stol writing recepies is stamped onto 200gms watercolour paper with Archival Ink - Coffee. I then painted her with my Distress ink pad - Vintage photo, which I also used to distress many other parts of the card too. Lastly I stuck pearls around the image that I had cut out with nestabilities, and waallaa my vintage card is made :OD
