We have an ANYTHING GOES challenge
going on at
(Of course in Vintage/shabby style.)
and since its summer we also have an extended deadline,
you have until the
28th of July 6pm
No excuses for not joining in then!
We have a new sponser this time as well,
Here is my designteam contribution:
I'll start at Edwins feet...
To give the card a real ship deck feeling
glued on some coffee stiring sticks,
that were rather
unusually made of bambu.
First I distressed them with Tims Distress Inks,
then cut them to size with a strudy pair of sissors
The treasure map you can just see here on the left
(or should I say port or starboard ;)
I made myself.
A vintage book page, again distressed.
I used Distress Reinkers to paint,
and bought the design paper from Panduro.
I borrowed my boys pirateship for the photoshot :O)
And the insides are decorated too for once!
After these photos were taken I sold the card,
and the buyer was planning on framing it in for her son,
So I added his name on the front in a rough banner type style.
I hope my project has given some inspiration!
Thinking that you don't always have to use things for the
purpose they were made for!
ie. the hot drink sticks!
Look forward to seeing lots of
Anything Goes Vintage projects!
Good summer

The colouring is amazing (and the colours - I'm always going to love blue and brown as a combination!), and I love the whole distressed scroll affair...
