Fan Flower

Here is a birthday card I have really enjoyed making!
I have followed Mary Fish's great sketch over at
and followed the colour challenge of 'Coffee and Cream' over at
*

Front view
*
wants to see a 'birthday card' this week.
Anything Goes
wanted 'Distressing' something I almost always do, and love :O)

Close-up of flowers.
*
Behind the distressed flowers from Storyteller are bronze
embellishments from 'Kort og Godt'.
The beautiful background paper is designed by
Melissa Frances called 'Breigh'
*

Close up of the fan flower.
*
I made this flower using design paper from Crate paper - Mia collection,
first I cut a strip about 3cm wide,
punched the edge with Martha Stewarts doily edge punch,
Stamped randomly with a floral stamp from Penny Black in brown Archival Ink.
Then I scored every 8mm folded along the scores
like you do when making a fan and glued the end edges together,
then distressed along the top folds with Tim Holtz Distress ink - Vintage photo.
*

This lovley 'happy birthday' stamp is from 'Papir loftet'.
Tuesday Throwdown wanted to see '3D',
I have used 3D tape under the square panel and under the text stamp,
I have also sewn with my machine around the panel edges.
*

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp

Fun at the fair here today, and its now playtime!
I have been berried under a mound of pillows whilst trying to put this post together!!
I'll just have to check it later for mistakes! Lol
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Hugs Nina xx

  1. Nydelig kort du har laget. Vakre farger. Og blomsten du har laget er så flott. Nydelig når du bruker kantpunch på den før du bretter. Ønsker deg en fin helg.
